Diogenes’ provides a free hotline for crisis intervention, emergency intake, referrals, and placement 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Paid and volunteer staff work from our emergency shelter and the 800-number is toll free anywhere within Sacramento County.  Emphasis is on crisis intervention for youth and their families and information and referral service to all.  Staff network with the National Runaway Switchboard and the CA Runaway Hotline, and maintain both local and nationwide service directories readily at-hand.
